Latteria’s Spaghetti Al Limone E Pepperoncino Verde lives rent free in my head. A highlight of my visit to Milan and i highly recommend that you try if you are accustomed to a little heat and sharpness in flavour. This restaurant is a laidback casual environment that concentrates on seating you and dishing up food. You can’t book a table … you just have to wait in line which is fine by me the two of us waited 30mins and it was worth it. Enjoy a dessert and a digestivo. This place will give you a real Italian experience. The staff are quite busy so don’t expect to get a bunch of questions answered about any dish you want to try. The atmosphere was cosy and a cute puppy even dropped in. I can’t wait to revisit when next in Milan :)

Heard about this place from multiple different sources so decided to try dinner. Unlike many reviews, I didn’t have to wait in line at all. Sat immediately at a table. Be prepared for the pared down decor of your grandmas house. Pictures of painted flowers italian actors and the family are on the wall. Do not dress up as this place is super casual. The menu had all the classics, no fancy plating. No fluff. The spaghetti Al limone with green chilies was excellent. The caprese salad was yummy but I’ve had better although the tomatoes tasted like they were picked right out of the back garden! The bresaola was delicate and not too heavily salted. The lemon tart was perfect. There is a Nonna there as your waiter who speaks zero English, and will speak to you as if you speak fluent Italian. I felt somewhat rushed, but I think some of that is just the classic Italian grandmother telling me to eat before the spaghetti gets cold 😂. Definitely a little over priced at €18 for a plate of pasta but a good experience overall. Also, if you need to use the restroom, definitely do it before you get there because this one is… Let’s just say, a hole in the ground 😆
