I brought my husband for dinner to celebrate his birthday. The food exceeded my expectations, and the friendly staff made our experience pleasant. HOWEVER, one thing about the service bothered me so much. So so much. The waiter who handed over the menu opened the menu book for us, specifically opening the “a la carte” part. While they have the tasting menu page, this waiter kindly opened the “a la carte” page and handed it over to us. He never came back to our table again. The moment it happened, I thought ‘Maybe I had to book for the tasting menu in advance to order it?’ so I asked another kind waiter who served our table. He said that of course we can have a tasting menu without a reservation so we ordered two tasting menus. I realized that the first waiter who served us the menu did it on purpose, taking for granted that we would not order the 125-165 per person tasting menu but would get single dishes only. Later I saw him serving the table next to ours, handing out menu to the people. HE OPENED THE TASTING MENU PAGE FOR THEM. Yeah, me and my husband look super young and we were dressed casually. But it is not right to treat customers based on their looks. You have to treat everyone the same, who visited the restaurant and was willing to pay and enjoy the dinner. Thanks to other waiters who were nice and friendly to us, we forgot about it and focused on our dinner. However, what has happened doesn’t really disappear.

Un brunch stellato, senza ombra di dubbio! Di questo stiamo parlando. Non fatevi ingannare dal costo sicuramente non economico perché l’esperienza li vale tutti. Infatti quello che si può vivere durante il brunch in questo meraviglioso ristorante situato presso l’hotel Principe di Savoia è un’esperienza a tutto tondo. Cominciamo con l’ambiente, raffinato, elegante, discreto e davvero ben frequentato. Ad accoglierci un trio di musicisti che ci ha allietato durante il pasto con una deliziosa musica in sottofondo. Al tavolo dei premurosissimi camerieri ci hanno accolto e dopo averci spiegato come funzionava il brunch, si hanno servito il flut di champagne compreso nel prezzo. Trattavasi di un eccezionale Veuve Clicquot Cuvée Saint-Petersbourg che a differenza degli altri “Yellow label” utilizza un liqueur d’expedition invecchiato un anno. Gran vino, di grande eleganza che abbiamo abbinato al primo giro di buffet. Infatti abbiamo cominciato con una serie di antipasti di pesce crudo: sashimi, ostriche, cannolicchi, gamberi rossi di Mazzara, conchiglie, granchi, carpacci di tonno, spada, salmone, tartare di ricciola, acciughe e alici…e sicuramente mi sto dimenticando qualcosa! Il reparto conchiglie era buono, ma non eccezionale, il resto era davvero sublime. Solo questo primo assaggio valeva il costo del brunch! Abbiamo poi proseguito con un altro giro: insalate di mare, polpo con patate e tartare di fassona. La tartare era fantastica e a questo punto abbiamo deciso di andare fino in fondo coccolandoci con una bottiglia di Bellavista Alma Gran Cuvée. Eccezionale e molto versatile che ha degnamente accompagnato anche il terzo giro composto da formaggi, tra cui gorgonzola cremoso, stracciatella, bocconcini di bufala, prosciutto crudo di Parma e bis di tartare di fassona! Ho seguito in questo caso il suggerimento della gentilissima cameriera che mi ha fatto provare dell’ottimo olio EVO pugliese che ha elevato i sapori del formaggio. A questo punto ci è arrivato il piatto caldo del giorno che consisteva in maltagliati al ragout di vitello con polvere di cacao. Ottimo il sapore e il bilanciamento degli ingredienti. Un piatto di alto livello. Un brunch senza uova non è un brunch! E quindi ci hanno portato un uovo pochè servito con una spuma di stracciatella che ha impreziosito il tutto. Infine un carrello di dolci dove c’era solo l’imbarazzo della scelta. Un’ampia selezione di pane e brioches salate erano a disposizione degli ospiti. Insomma, come si è capito, è stata una fantastica domenica, 3 ore passate in assoluto relax, godendo di sapori ed emozioni uniche.

Rapporto qualità prezzo alto,camerieri veramente gentilissimi,appena entri sei subito a tuo agio,i secondi sono qualcosa di pazzesco consiglio!

One of the rare Michelin places that actually does deserve the stars

Reserved this restaurant for an anniversary. First noted the very luxury style decoration, the environment was very amazing. The waiters were absolutely fantastic, especially Nikola (our waiter who was the funniest waiter I have ever seen). Food was delicious and at the end we got a surprise for our anniversary as a plate with "happy anniversary" written in chocolate and a candle. The sommelier was also very professional with the wine list and provided us with excellent wines with our foods. We loved it and will for sure come back for another fantastic dinner. Thank you.

It was a great surprise to discover this high-quality restaurant as an option for breakfast. My companion opted for the buffet, and I chose a la carte. Both enjoyed it a lot. My favorite was the Eggs Benedict. We were surprised that they opened very early, and we got there around 8 am, and there were available tables. I recommend reserving after 9 am because it gets crowded.

Abbiamo cenato per due con il mio compagno ad agosto. Il servizio è stato impeccabile ed estremamente piacevole. L'ambiente era gradevole e la musica non troppo alta, il che ci ha permesso di conversare in tutta tranquillità. Le portate principali erano ottime così come i dolci. D'altro canto forse ci aspettavamo qualcosa in più per quanto riguarda le voci. Il prezzo del cocktail spritz mi ha però un po' sorpreso (22,-€ come a casa in Svizzera). Ma quando si pretende di poter gustare i piatti serviti in questo tipo di locali, bisogna dare per scontato il prezzo che non si limita solo ai prodotti ma anche all'ambiente e alla qualità del personale. Menzione speciale alla padrona di casa che è stata in grado di indicarci un taxi il più rapidamente possibile.

Sono stato a cena ieri sera con la mia signora sempre una garanzia sia cibo che servizio oltre una location da sogno siamo frequentemente in questo ristorante e torniamo sempre con piacere grazie

I enjoyed my tasting plates to the max. It was a great experience. Champagne was nice and cold and a decent selection at that. Service could improve, I had to constantly look for my waiter to top up my champagne and they don't change the glasses on time. The food looked and tasted great. We'll down to the chef. And thank you for a great experience.

Vent'anni fa avrei detto meraviglie, oggi mi sembra un po' fuori dal tempo. Non mi é piaciuto, soprattutto perché dopo aver segnalato un'allergia, mi é stato presentato un piatto con il cibo per me pericoloso. Mai più.

Come solito al top!!! Confermo sempre al top anche ieri, ormai, quando siamo a Milano è il nostro brunch domenicale con gli amici.

Senza dubbio uno dei migliori ristoranti della città. Il menu degustazione ha un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, consigliato l'abbinamento con i vini. Un plauso in particolare alla maitre Danitza ed al simpaticissimo Nicola che hanno reso la serata ancora più speciale.

1° piano di un hotel a 5 stelle~~ Splendida decorazione della hall. Il servizio cordiale è stato ottimo in un'atmosfera tranquilla e lussuosa.

It's a very high end restaurant, with excellent service, and some complimentary food served next to what you might choose. The portion sizes are minimal though, and prices for that a bit punchy - you pay for being there. You have a decent chance to spot some local celebrities too.

L'ambiente del ristorante è elegante, l'accoglienza ed il servizio sono bellissimi, anche i piatti dell'ospitalità hanno un sapore che vi entusiasmerà per la vostra ordinazione base... e hanno i ravioli più buoni del mondo!

What a culinary feast it was to dine at Acanto and as your expected from a 5 star hotel, you got the 5 star service all the way thru. Not to mention the food was astetic pleasenent to see when being served and when it was revealed /presented. Some of the dishes was a classic but you had some classic dish with a twist ,it was a unparallel sensory overload. Located at hotel Principal du savi, the resturant is open for the public as well, and during the morning it is where the hotel serve breakfast. Our dinner reservation was a bit later in the afternoon so thankfully the resturant was not busy and loud. The staff was brilliant and very attentive, and the bartender's knowledge of the variouse local Italian alcohol is mind-blowing. My colleague wanted to try a certain type of drink but she didn't remember the name the brand and the place where it was made, but she gave a explanation of the taste and where she think where it was approximately from. So the bartender came over and he brought the whole bar with him. I think we might to hungry cus we ordered a bit to much but I'm glad that we tried a diverse food. The experience was a nice culinary feast with interesting and imaginative twist to some of classical dish.

If you’re looking for a top notch romantic dinner in Milan, I highly recommend Acanto. Starting the entry, you’d notice the exquisite interior, and superb service. The staff took our coats and provided a special stool for my purse. The service was quick, and the host gave us great recommendations. Can’t get over how beautiful and romantic the restaurant itself was. The food was great and the wine was absolutely fabulous. The dessert was a piece of art. We had the pistachio mousse, and they have us complimentary chocolate in chess pieces shape. Will definitely go again when in Milan.
